I added a second gig of RAM to my qmail server. The motherboard is showing it as installed so I don't think it's a hardware problem. top is showing only the usual gig...

Are there some files I need to tweak to tell Gentoo the RAM has increased?

or

Do I need to recompile top... I seem to recall it being a bit flaky that way.

and

Is there a better way to see how much RAM Gentoo thinks it has than top?

Hmmm I would have figured that a stcok kernel would have dealt with 2GB fine. Apparently not. Turning on high-memory support and making it 4GB did the trick.

Thanks.
