Hiya,
Got an old Toshiba laptop (sattelite pro). I set the date for the session and it's all ok, but next time I reboot I get the following date
firewall / # date -u
Sun Aug 21 23:13:25 UTC 2005
For some reason It likes the 21st of August. Might be a hardware problem. But I find it extrange cos it should have gone back to something like 98 where the laptop was built or something ...
Looked on the bios and there is no option to set the date there (LMAO)

Do you save clock at shutdown? Look in /etc/conf.d/clock
Code: | /etc/conf.d/clock
...
# If you want to set the Hardware Clock to the current System Time
# during shutdown, then say "yes" here.
CLOCK_SYSTOHC="yes"
