I'm having problems emerging xine-ui:
Code: | !!! Couldn't download xine-ui-gentoo-extra.tar.bz2. Aborting.
!!! emerge aborting on /usr/portage/media-video/xine-ui/xine-ui-0.9.9-r1.ebuild |
did an different times already
any help would be very much appreciated |

don't worry too much about such things time and again it happens, that an ebuild seems to be submitted but the source not available on the mirrors, or a typo sneeked into the ebuild. try again after a few hours or tomorrow, usually a little time solves this problem. gentoo is bleeding edge, and bleeding takes some time

I notice that if you copy digest-xine-ui-0.9.9-r2 over digest-xine-ui-0.9.9-r1 (located in /usr/portage/media-video/xine-ui/files/) and them performing the emerge will get running with the new checksum. A bug has been posted about the checksum change, so this will be fixed soon and you won't have to hack it.
PS: remember to emerge aalib (and xine-lib) before you do xine-ui.
