They are linked from the first post. They include everything you need to get to the latest version (which includes all working patches).

Nice, I uppgraded to latest 2.20 kernel and applied larrys patch for the kernel. Now iwconfig gives me eth1 as my wireless Broadcom 4311 card :)

Will try to configure it now.

Many thanks =)

Edit:

Darn it, can't seem to turn the card on.. :/

Code:

LappySlappy sedrik # iwconfig eth1 power on
Error for wireless request "Set Power Management" (8B2D) :
GET failed on device eth1 ; Operation not supported.
LappySlappy sedrik # iwconfig eth1 up
Error : unrecognised wireless request "up"

It's "ifconfig eth1 up" not iwconfig. iwconfig only sets wireless settings. I highly recommend wpa_supplicant as it integrates with Gentoo well and is fairly easy to configure.

I did every instruction on the first post but my card on PowerBook G4 doesn't work

Code:

0001:10:12.0 Class 0080: Broadcom Corporation Unknown device 4120 (rev 03)

it seems different from the described device:

Code:

0001:10:12.0 0080: 14e4:4120 (rev 03)

Code:

0001:10:12.0 Class 0080: Broadcom Corporation Unknown device 4120 (rev 03)
Subsystem: Apple Computer Inc. Unknown device 004e
Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 16, IRQ 52
        Memory at 90000000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [disabled] [size=8K]
Capabilities: [40] Power Management version 2

I really don't know
any help about it??
thank you

This doesn't seem right. There is no BCM4120. Most likely it is really a BCM4320 (which is actually a 4306 ChipID). Does it work in OSX? This appears to be a board that requires some special workarounds, so it may not work out of the box.

I think too. Sometimes it has been recognized by kernel as 432xx but just two or three times...
It works under OSX

My kernel config is the same in first post and I also tried various other config

:?: How a Luck!!!

If it is not reporting the correct PCI ID, you don't have much of a chance to get it working :p. Can you check from OSX and see what the PCI ID is reported as?

Well, I'm a little bit confused

I removed the module bcm43xx from autoload to see if udev load it... and yes sometimes udev load the module and the card as eth2
Here the results:

Code:

0001:10:12.0 0280: 14e4:4320 (rev 03)

Code:

   Memory at 80084000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=8K]
Capabilities: [40] Power Management version 2

Code:

Unfortunately after ifconfig eth2 up and few operations (iwlist scan etc..) the kernel panics!
Now the card is not recognised anymore... :?: I don't have changed config or else...
Using MacOSX the card works perfectly

What can I do?? Maybe is a conflict with other modules (i.e. ieee1934)??
It seems that other owners of PB G4 aren't affected by this problem
I'm playing with kernel config...
