There were some patches sent to the sparclinux mailing list to support them in the kernel, but i don't know if they were taken upstream.
Also the LEONs are basically custom chips used by the ESA or whoever wants to make them (or program them in a FPGA).
In theory gentoo should work right away on them since they're V8 (sparc32), but i don't see much use in this atm. _________________ Gustavo Zacarias

He may have some FPGA eval board and rebuild the leon for that target.
But then it wouldn't be too useful without real silicon -> better performance and cheaper. _________________ Gustavo Zacarias
