|
|
Hey guys,
I've been scouring the internet all morning looking for a solution to my problem. I'm installing the lastest version of Gentoo on my Ultra 10. I'm able to boot of the installation CD but once I'm at the (livecd root#) prompt and run /sbin/ifconfig; my NIC is not listed only Lo0. I tried to modprobe 8139too and tulip with no luck. I can not find the correct module to run modprobe on. I came across a few articles that refer to the Sun Happy Meal Ethernet but I do not know the module name. I don't want to go any further with the install until I'm able to get this NIC working.
Please help me get this Ultra 10 running!
Thanks in advance!

Also it might help to try running :
from the root prompt. - the rest should be automatic (well it was for me anyway).
As has been said its a "sunhme" card. _________________ Toady
