ok this is a hack (pretend everything is ok) so for some reasons the the return value of start-stop-daemon is not good ? |

back after a long absence.
so, i don't now if it is a hack, or watever it is, but i changed the init script adding --oknodo and it works fine. i think is better than my previous hack |

hi all.
i'm having some problems on a fresh installation of gentoo+novell
1. system freeze while browsing certain folders, but works well with others (i opened a bug @ n4g-trac for that)
2. could not execute scripts from novell folders (the same script works locally).
3. could not save files on the network. i can create/delete/rename, but i cannot work on it. for example, if i work on Excel file, when i try to save it reply that the temporary file could not be created. but if i work on a text there are no problems.
4. could not install novell-consoleone, as Novell says that edir885_Patch2.tar.gz is obsolete, so i can't download it. |

Hallo Novell users
the last days many updates made it into n4g stable
first the overlay moved from the old server to the new one so n4g.mars.arge.at is no more (still there but plz don't post bugs there)
it moved to n4g.disconnected-by-peer.at the new home for the project
so to the hard part:
novell changed the name of the groupwise client package again (the really don't know what they do)
net-mail/novell-groupwise-gwclient --> net-mail/novell-groupwise-client
i hope they let it that way it fitts better to the rest of the linux packages (novell-messneger-client novell-client ...)
so please uninstall the old package first
so if your corporate network still uses gw 7 you have to mask groupwise 8 ebuilds ( client and/or admin package)
ConsoleOne has now proper multilib support and also works with edir 8.8 or 8.7 flawless
edir 8.7 will slowly fade when edir 8.8 is working ok
edir 8.8 is now at sp5 patchlevel 4
novell client is updated to sp2 of the sles11 client
iprint client still has a problem with cups 1.4 (can't do anything against it, so if you use ith downgrade cups)
thx

damm then i dont know where to look else for this problem.
one last chance is try it with another kernel version (2.6.35 is not supported at the moment suse factory (novell) is preparing for release with the 2.6.34 kernel) |
