Seriously, it looks like Intel is trying to cash in on a development they haven't even finished yet because the vendors kept yelling at them to get it out in the open for the past six months or so. The Banias platform as such is a Good Thing, but this half-baked pre-release looks rather cheap. Let's just not forget that buying a "mobile P4" with 2.4 GHz is not an alternative. Price, battery life, heat issues are simply ridiculous in laptops with one of those... Sony managed to positively alienate their most faithful customers with the latest V505 series, exactly because of that.
