I can't get my lcd up and running, in windows in works fine but not in linux.
It is an LCD with the HD44780 chipset and it's connected to the lpt port 378, at first I had parport_pc and parport modprobet but i couldnt get it to work when I had specified the HD44780 driver in /etfc/LCDd.conf!. Then i tried to add parport support in the kernel not as modules but it didnt help either. Anyone knows how to get the hd44780 chip working from the lpt connection? |

I fixed it after some RTFMing. Just change your LCDd.conf to include
ConnectionType=winamp
and all will be well. |
