|
|
I'm a long time Debian user, but I thought I would give gentoo a shot. The install went smoothly and now I'm up and running. However I just ran into a little glitch and was hoping the infinite wisdow of the Gentoo Forums could give me some guidance.
I just ran an 'emerge sync' and got the following message when it completed.
* GNU info directory index is up-to-date.
* IMPORTANT: 1 config files in /etc need updating.
* Type emerge help config to learn how to update config files.
So I type 'emerge help config' and it says:
Calculating dependencies
emerge: there are no masked or unmasked ebuilds to satisfy "config".
!!! Error calculating dependancies. Please correct.
'emerge help config' doesn't appear to be the right command. What is the right command? And should this be reported as a bug or something? |

Try: etc-update
Just a friendly reminder, if you had done a forum search it would have turned up dozens of threads with the same question.
Welcome to Gentoo btw
