| Well, I got to looking at the screens of thunar, and decided to download the svn source and attempt a compile. I attempted to install it in /opt/testing/thunar but didnt even get that far. autogen.sh complains about not having xfce4-dev-tools. So I downloaded, compiled, and installed those. Now it wants libexo 0.3.1 from svn as well. So I downloaded and compiled that, but thunar's autoconf still doesnt see it. thunar's autogen says to set an environment variable to set the location of the new version of libexo, which I did, but regardless pkg-config still cant find it. I've tried using the ebuilds in fluidportage as well, but they dont even find the xfce4-dev-tools. Any ideas? |

Follow the instructions in that thread to get FluidPortage working. Worked perfectly for me! |

| I hope I am not raising the dead here, but the fix for this is to copy the exo-0.3.pc file into /usr/lib/pkgconfig |
