[Help] what stage should I take? (PRESCOTT 531 64 BITS+915G)

CPU:INTEL PENTIUM IV PRESCOTT 531 (3.0) 64 BITS

CHIP:Intel 915G + ICH6

I'd like to use a stage3 tarball to complete my new installtion. which stage should I take?

amd64?

that is:
install-ia64-minimal-2005.1.iso + stage3-amd64-hardened-2005.1.tar.bz2

afaik AMD64 will not work for you, you need ia64 all the way (or 32bit)

The ia64 ISO is a different thing, if you want an x86_64 bit system, then stick to amd64. However, Intel's EMT64 and AMD64 differ slightly, so I don't know if the amd64 ISO will work on your computer. I guess it should, because the difference is in connection with hardware (HyperThreading, for example, is not present on AMD), but I'm not sure.

I should choose the install-amd64-minimal-2005.1.iso + stage3-amd64-hardened-2005.1.tar.bz2 , right?

I'm not sure where it will work on the INTEL PENTIUM IV PRESCOTT 531 . I use install-amd64-minimal-2005.1.iso to boot on my pentium 4 2.8G CPU, it fails to boot.

can I build a 32 bits system on PRESCOTT 531 ? (install-x86-minimal-2005.1.iso + stage3-x86-hardened-2005.1.tar.bz2 ? )
