I wish minimal install cd had lvm2, 2.6 kernel and mdadm. But maybe I am wrong and non of these are ported to sparc. thanks, the gentoo newbie

all those packages are ported and working just fine...
i was about to say why put them on minimal install cd, but actually - why not? quite small and might be usefull...

2.6 kernels aren't up to snuff yet, that's the reason.
