i got postfix and coutier-imap up and running but when i try to log in remotely from another machine all my usernames and passwords are rejected when i know i entered them correctly. I am thinking that imap and pam are not talking to each other so it doesnt know my passwords are correct. |

Perhaps you need to edit the /etc/imapd file to comment out
IMAP_CAPABILITY_TLS and edit IMAP_CAPABILITY to add AUTH=PLAIN
I spent about a day to figure out that my clients were trying to connect at the SSL port of IMAP
Another test would be mutt -f imap://localhost to see how it is connecting |
