ok, so.. advice from forums.. dun need any threads from cokehabit saying i'm already fkd
never really had a relationship before and somethin tells me the one i just started isn't right. It's my senior year at highschool and a junior that i really like, really likes me. Seems nice eh? Main problem: I have no clue why she likes me. I figured it was just infatuation, which i also don't get, but its been 4 weeks and she still seems to like me. I can't really carry on a conversation with her that well, although it seems like if i made a knock knock joke she'd laugh. She's always signed online, seems like we should talk through aim a lot, but we barely get 1 half conversation up a day, seems to actually go better in person. She just told me she liked me over aim, i said i liked her too. And then there was no talking after that for about a day, because there isn't that much to talk about. Tommarows first day of school since that convo over aim. Should i be worried as hell that i can't find a reason for her to like me or just sit back? A little hard to try not to screw something up if you don't know what there is to screw up.
Closest i can think is that we both like games computers and anime, and she seems to really like it when i say techie stuff and things in l337... |

sit back, relax, breath and go with the flow. Understand that the relationship will end eventially, and there will be others. Beyond that just don't think about it too much. Don't avoid her and just act normal. She likes you for who you are, and a lot of times as guys, we don't get that just accept it. _________________ I'm not afraid of happy endings, just afraid my life wont work that way. |

| It's high school man, just go out with her. My girlfriend and don't have all too much in common, but things have worked out pretty well. I've been with her for over two years now, and in terms of what you can hope to accomplish with a high school relationship I'd say we've been very successful. |

Go for it... worst case you end up learning a bit about relationships, best case you have a damn good time with the girl.
She likes you - you like her. What's the problem? It's worth a shot, right?
Attraction has little to do with common interests, it's a lot more primal than that. My wife and I share little in common, but we have a damn good time together, even if she does rib me for my geeky tendencies and I tease her about her anal-compulsive behaviour. |

You don't have to be perfect for a girl to like you, just not horribly messed up. It could be just chemistry. Why do you like her, maybe it's similar reasons. But really, don't think about it too much, it'll stress you out needlessly, and will generate zero productive results. There's nothing wrong with not knowing why. And if your overly nervous with her, try to think of it as a positive, it means you like her. _________________ Alhamdulillah for the internet. NO! Don't be worried. If she likes you, good on you - don't look the horse in the mouth and overanalyse things...
Don't put yourself down either - if she likes you, she's obviously got some reason(s). We're our own worst critics...

Invite her over for an evening of anime. The first date I had with my now wife consisted of four hours of anime. We watched Last Exile. Awesome.
Speaking of great dates, tonight we dressed in our leathers and went to see The Corpse Bride. Awesome.

I dont see the problem? You like her. She obviously like you. She likes anime and stuff?Ask her if she wants to come over and watch Spirited Away or something - on your laptop (if you have one). Watching anime doesn't get much more intimate than that. And lastly: Realize that you, as a boy, has nothing to say in this process of courtship. It's her game. Might as well accept it. Man you must be a dork...Okay, sorry for being cruel. But hasn't anyone taught you how to get a chick. Even if you don't like the girl, if she is someone goodlooking, it is a perfect opportunity to get some bush. In addition, most girls will come to like you if they see that your are somewhat sociable and aren't too much of a lame ass loser.
Try inviting her out. See how it goes. Don't be nervous. Be confident, yet a little bit brash. I would take her out for some activity that is fun, but not too imposing on her. Trying to invite her to dinner and boring her with your nerd tales wouldn't be such a good idea. Nor would a film be so good. After a few dates with her, I would break all communication by ignoring her. Drives the bitches crazy. Now the ball is in your court. Do not show any type of emotion towards her. Heck, setting up a date and forgetting about it, than calling her afterwards and making some excuse really works (i.e. like in Magnolia). If you execute your strategy correctly, this bitch will be begging for you cock. |

You found a geek girl! Grab her and never let her go! NEVER EVER EVER! They are like a diamond in the rough and you will probably never find another. Just be yourself and don't try to act like a big man or some stupid shit like that. Geek girls like a guy who is not afraid to be himself so don't act phoney. Actually that goes for just about any intelligent girl not just geek girls. _________________ Please read the Forum Guidelines.

-=GGW=- $ol!d $n4>|e, feliperal is obviously a jerk. You can even tell this by the condescending tone he uses as he's talking down to you.

read ladder theory at www.intellectualwhores.com, and also everything on www.fastseduction.com.
i swear, ladder theory changed my life (altho im still a geek at heart). |
And djlosch too. Do you really think any woman would be interested in a guy with this attitude? The truth is, like it or not, these two probably get more women that 90% of the guys out there. feliperal's advice is pretty damn good. The 2nd website provided by djlosch is a masterpiece (the first one has a couple good points mixed in with a ton of BS). Try reading this: http://www.fastseduction.com/guide/01_The_Basic_Rules/niceguys.shtml, and this : http://www.fastseduction.com/guide/02_How_to_Get_Started/confidence.shtml from there. Don't be afraid of your sexuality, and don't be afraid to show it. Be "confident, yet a little bit brash". Ask her out, and don't be afraid to kiss her. Its what she wants. If you stall too long she may lose interest and pass you up. _________________ GO ASASHORYU!

C'mooon ! You've found a girl that's nerdy AND cute GO FOR IT !!
The ones I bump on to are mostly mindless blond chicks who haven't got a decent word to say or ugly metalchicks all dressed up in black with purple colored hair or something..
Hell I can't even talk to my friends about computers, everytime I come up with words like "chips amd" or even just "windows" they give that strange look. |

Don't you have anyone else to talk to about these things?
Where shall I start. . . If you can't find a reason for her to like you then she has something useful to teach you. The best part about being a geek or awkward or not having the body of a greek god is that it automatically screens out the people who like you for the wrong reasons.
If you can't have a real conversation with her that's another matter, but time together tends to deal with that and you'd be cheating her and yourself if you didn't try and find out.
It may be that something's not right, but in my experience thinking that something's not right is the greater part of something not being right. It may be that she's liking some imaginary form based on you but the odds look good from this limited viewpoint. If your main problem is really that you can't see why she likes you just realize that there are things she sees that you don't and she may not be making them up.
And a pet peeve/rant to finish it off: Don't try to have real converstaions AIM! Plain text and all the emoticons in the world in the hands of a master can make up maybe a third of what you can communicate with a real person with a real face to smile and frown and do all of those things that great writers spend their whole lives trying to describe in text -- the infinite vocabulary of body language, the expressions of a real face, looks, little movements, touch(, words written with a pen by a hand), reaction and ... and.... and now I'm doint exactly what I'm ranting about; trying to use words to . . . and I'm not even Dostoyevsky. I'm done. |
