I'm not an expert on this, but I think your hardware is different than the machines (post 2005.2 powerbooks, current ibooks?) for which the appletouch driver was written. The appletouch driver emulates the synaptics, doesn't it?
I was under the impression that people had the trackpad working with mouse button emulation. See for example http://www.mamiyami.com/powerbook/ |
