Hi,

Sorry for my English .... I am French

I start test on an IA64 (Itanium2) machine with the beta livecd. It's also my first experience with Gentoo (I know Mandriva, Redhat, Suse and in the past Slackware ... to speak only about Linux distro).
See signature for detail about the configuration in use.

LiveCD boot OK
Keyboard OK (change to fr-latin9)
Network Ok (after net-setup)+ sshd Ok
All disks are visible BUT with a small problem (know also with Redhat 3.0 AS version) THE SCSI controllers are not in the (normal) order ... from Internal disque (LSI cont) to External Raid system connected thru 2 Adaptec PCI-E connect.
so sda and sdb are my two (virtual) raid5 disks and sdc, sdd and sde the 3 internals devices.

In Redhat I make change (of the drivers order) in modules.conf with
alias scsi_hostadapter mptbase
alias scsi_hostadapter1 mptscsih # for the LSI adapt.
alias scsi_hostadapter2 aic7xxx # for adaptec
etc.

HOW I can do the same things with the livecd ?
After a boot with some commands to unload and reload drivers ???
By modification in the source of livecd (--preload on mkinitrd ?) who can make change?.
Or modification in modules.conf ou modules-update ?
Or ....

Thanks.
Sorry if they are another forum for beta version or specific version, don't hesitate to move this message.

Philippe
