PureFTPd - How do I configure virtual users after emerging?

Hey guys,

I have checked the pureftpd documentation stating how to pass a switch during compile time - but im not sure how to enable virtual users after I have emerged pureftpd. If I need to compile it manually, how would I go about doing it? I'm not familiar with installing programs manually in gentoo - I have only used emerge so far.

Any help would be appreciated!

no need to compile it manually, just emerge it and follow

if you want the virtual users to be chrooted you will have to enable the vchroot use flag.

Thanks for the reply. Do I need to enable that use flag before I compile it, or will it take effect if I just add it now and restart the daemon?

a change in use flag does require re-compilation
