Could somebody who knows german please translate this for me. It is from the Mahler 1 score.
Thank you. _________________ "I saw the code for your computer program yesterday. It looked easy. Its just a bunch of typing. And half of the words were spelt wrong. And dont get me started on your over-use of colons."

From here on (not 4 clocks beforehand) up to the conclusion it is to
be strengthened empfehlenswerth the horns so for a long time, to the
hymn-like, all over-sounding Choral the noethige sound volume
achieved. All buglers rise, in order to obtain as largest a sound
strength as possible.
eh, not the best translation, but you get the idea. |

Starting here (and under no circumstances four times before) until the end, it is recommended to amplify the horns as much as required, until the hymn-like, drowning everything else out chorale gets the necessary sonority. All hornists stand up to reach maximum acoustic pressure.
This is a quite bumpy translation, but this is musical terminology - not my business.

Although it is not the clearest translation, I do get the idea. Thank you. _________________ "I saw the code for your computer program yesterday. It looked easy. Its just a bunch of typing. And half of the words were spelt wrong. And dont get me started on your over-use of colons."

No. Its a note in the score for Mahler's 1st symphony referring to the horns and their reinforcements. _________________ "I saw the code for your computer program yesterday. It looked easy.
