This may exist somewhere and I just don't know how to find it...
How does one find a list of dependant packages in Gentoo?
For example, I wanted to upgrade libpng the other day, but I wasn't sure how to find out what to unmerge and re-emerge to use the new lib...
If this is not easy, it might be a handy tool to create. |

"emerge -p <package> shows the list of packages you need for this package.
After "emerge app-admin/gentoolkit" you'll be able to type "qpkg -q <package>" and see the list of packages which depends on this package. |
