More steam trouble!

I have cedega-4.4.1
Newest steam only updates inside wine
Files are copied over from a windows install

I have a fresh .blob file

Steam running in cedega says:

Could not connect to Steam network.
This could be due to a problem with your Internet connection, or
with the Steam network. Please visit www.steampowered.com for more
info.

Anybody have any clue what's going on?
