Hi everyone,
Is it possible to install gentoo for ppc64 onto an external firewire connected HDD, connected to my 17" iMac G5. I have a 320gig firewire/usb2 hdd and i want to trial gentoo and fc4 and yellow dog from this drive. Leaving my OSX 10.4.2 installed os on my internal drive as it is.
I've been using the firewire cable, because, aparently, it allows my iMac G5 to boot other os's from the external drive.
Thanks for any help. _________________ Regards Tom and Anna.

I recently posted a mini-howto on this topic here. It's far from perfect, but at least it worked for me (and others, apparently). |
