E' un mini tips ma io trovo molto utile. Quando faccio delle ricerche su programmi con locate mi escono sempre i file che si trovano in /usr/portage e questo lo trovo molto fastidioso. Editate quindi il file /etc/updatedb.conf e aggiungere alla variabile PRUNEPATHS /usr/portage e /usr/local/portage la mia ora e' cosi
| Code: | | PRUNEPATHS="/tmp /var/tmp /usr/portage /usr/local/portage" |
date ora un bel
e vedrete che l'operazione sara' anche molto piu' veloce di prima 
PS: magari a voi vi interessa mantenere queste cartelle, comunque date un occhio a questo
updatedb con incluse /usr/portage e /usr/locate/portage | Code: | time updatedb

Finalmente nn avrò più timore ad aggiornare il db di locate... a volte lo lasciavo così anche per un mese...
