Anyone know why the link in my signature isn't working? I did some searching, and it looks like it should work, but it doesn't. I tried regular HTML as well, but no go. Thanks.

Try JUST the URL. Mine works fine in my sig and I entered in just the web address and nothing else.

Oh, and the link you presently have as your signature is considered SPAM and could get you in trouble (also given you're an affiliate of the spam site). That asian guy has been blabbing about immortality crap for several years and numerous sites identify him as just another spammer trying to part the gullible from their money.

Well then, that answers my question then. I really wanted the 'free' magnetic rings, but I couldn't imagine them working. Strange that the linking didn't work though, I see other people linking with text in their sigs.

If regular HTML works then you could use a standard html link, such as:

Code:

<a href="http://www.example.com">This is an example site.</a>

And see if that works...

On my profile page, next to the sig box, it says HTML is turned off, but BBCode is turned on. It looks like your original link should have worked, but you might want to double check the BBCode syntax following this reference to linking to external sites using BBCode:

I did. I have no idea why it isn't working. I can't seem to turn HTML on, but I assume that's site wide.

Likely so since there is so much room for spoofing and abuse. I recall reading a while back that phpBB (the core this forum is built upon) is very heavily hacked and modified to suit various aspects of the Gentoo community, such as eliminating post counts when posting to Off The Wall, etc. So it could be a side-effect of those modifications.

However, at least it appears as a link when you just post the original URL as opposed to a spoofing technique like:

Code:

<a href="http://www.badsite.com">http://www.goodsite.com</a>

where it appears like a good site url, but when clicked takes you to a bad site...

You cannot use HTML here, but links can be created using BBCode. Looks like you figured out how to do it as the url in your sig is working (clickable). We'd appreciate if you removed the link to that spam site however.

eyd: Please do not spam the forums, even through a link to your own website.
