|
|
Hi, I just became a linux-gentoo user. I have a trouble with the installation of iptables:
I've installed it twice succesfull(apparently), but when I try to make modprobe ipt_state, iptable_nat or iptable_mangle it says "can't localte module ... ".
What's the problem? I have installed it two times! I've found that it has not compiled those modules (ipt_state.o, and so).
Can I force compile those modules alone?
Thanks in advance!

did u compile iptable support into your kernel? check all the necessary modules there... _________________ To an engineer the glass is neither half full, nor half empty - it is just twice as big as it needs to be. |

That's right, I've just re-compile my kernel and then the iptables, all goes well!
I am applying th rules as it's said in the Security tutorial, it works fine...
Thanks again... _________________ Facundo |
