Might aswell use abcde then.. it's commandline
It uses cdparanoia
emerge abcde
if you want gui:
emerge grip (although the ebuild fails here..) |

actually since I've bought cdrw I'm using xcdroast that uses cdrtools that has libparanoia embedded. Xcdroast is sufficient for me but I may check for similar apps just out of curiosity. |

if so, it sounds like some problem at that stage of the game.
Two possibilites I can think of,
1. you don't have the ripping software installed. ( check to see what grip is actually using )
2. you don't have the correct permissions to access the cd |
No wav files were ever created. Then I used cdda2wav and it worked. Guess I didn't make that too clear in my last post. Thanks for the tips. _________________ Quis separabit? Quo animo? |

I do... I rip with cdparanoia and use lame to encode into mp3, by far the quickest way. I use normally xmms to edit the id3 tags. _________________ Do you want your posessions identified? [ynq] (n) |
