Why is it w run emerge -up world I don't not see all packages that can be upgraded? For example if I run emerge -up openoffice I get notified that there is a newer version to install, but yet I don't see it listed when I run the emerge -up world command. |

Maybe it has something to do with accept_keywords="~x86" ? |

maybe
but isn't the openoffice 1.0.2 a stable release?
So shouldn't it show up?
So then should I ask , if using the ~x86 keyword shouldn't emerge -p world show all the unstable releases available? |

world only includes things you have explicitly emerged. If something came in as a dependency, it doesn't get recorded in your world file. You can add it to /var/cache/edb/world if you wish. _________________ For every higher wall, there is a taller ladder |
