Hey... you know the X icon that shows up in the taskbar and the titlebar of non-kde apps? How do you change that icon?
I have added the entries of non-kde apps (glimmer, Eterm) to the kmenu and given them an icon, but that icon does not replace the X.
Thanks,
synic

Maybe the app itself replaces the Icon Try starting the app, and look at the icon in the task bar, and notice if it changes later.
Maybe you can set the app icon with ~/.Xdefaults property _________________ There's someone in my head but it's not me - Pink Floyd |

Ok, I figured out how to change this if anyone wants to know.
There are two ways:
1. If the application is a non-kde app and you want to set a specific icon for it, you can put an icon entry in /usr/share/pixmaps. For example, if the application is executed by typing "glimmer" at the command line (or from an icon in the kmenu) put an image called glimmer.png in /usr/share/pixmaps.
2. To change the X icon globally, copy over the xapp.png icon located in your icon theme directory (ie. /usr/kde/3.1/share/icons/crystalsvg/32x32/xapp.png) _________________ Adam Olsen
