Hi all,

Let me start by saying that I'm an inetd/xinetd rookie! :oops:

When I emerged xinetd I noticed that it installed a bunch of (what seem to be default) services in my xinetd.d directory. Suff like...
    chargen-tcp/udp
    daytime-tcp/udp
    echo-tcp/udp
    time-tcp/udp

Fortunately, it looks like they all have the
Code:
disable=yes
property set. Which I think means that the service is disabled and that I don't have to worry about it!?! :?:

Can I erase these files, or should I leave them in there? :?:

Thanks,
-green

as long as they say

disable=yes

then they are disabled. To enable them change it to disable=no
so leaving them is kewl..no harm done
