hi!
also das ich mit gentoo so viel arbeit hab hät ich nicht gedacht, naja... dient ja auch nem guten Zweck... Aber ich sitz da jetz schon die ganzen ferien drann und mir sitzt noch n haufen arbeit für die schule im Nacken... deshalb entschuldigt die noob fragen.
Also los:
nachdem ich mit lilo nicht booten kommte hab ich grub installiert, hab die menu.lst nach grub.conf unbenannt, und seit dem hab ich auch ein menü. nur leider kann ich immernoch nicht booten, denn beim starten kommt der fehler:
Error 15 file not found: kernel /boot/newkern root=/dev/hdb5
und das versteh ich nicht, denn eigentlich müsste alles stimmen:

also ich versteh das nicht! das muss doch alles finden! ich habs fast genauso stehen wie in der anleitung.
findet jemand da einen Fehler? |

Welche deiner zwei Festplatten ist im BIOS als boot device eingestellt?
Sollte die gentoo platte nämlich booten dann wär sie (hd0)!!

Im bios eingestellt?
eigentlich keine... oder meinst du die boot abfolge? also das ist alles autodetect.
die debian Platte ist halt primary master
und die gentoo Platte primary slave
und auf der gentoo platte (dev/hdb1) hab ich grub und den gentoo kernel den ich booten will drauf. |

ja ich meine die bootreihenfolge.
die platte die zuerst kommt ist (hd0) die die andere (hd1).
