Hello,
I have mkv movie with 5.1 aac sound, how can i via. mencoder (or any other software) convert it to ac3 (or dts) 5.1? I use S/PDiF and my TV support only ac3/dts.

mencoder input.mkv -ovc copy -lavcopts acodec=ac3:abitrate=448 -channels 6 -oac lavc -o output.mkv

Works fine
