I've read that i can either use acpi or apm.. does this imply that for the USE variable, I must only include ONE of them ?? Thanks. -Gordon

Generally your mainboard will support one or the other. They try to do mostly the same things. ACPI is the newer version, APM is generally most i440BX boards and anything around that old. You will need to compile the correct support into your kernel to support it (which ever is correct for your board) as well. Some boards change from APM to ACPI with the newest BIOS update as well -- so you may need to do some homework to figure out which one is right for you. I'd advise you to try ACPI first--but thats just me.
