emerge: changing ${prexix}

Hi,

I wonder how to change the prefix of ebuilds or parts of it.

I tried f.e. --prefix=/usr/X11R6 for Windowmaker, which aborted install with an error for some GnuStep stuff.

Other example: trying to set --with-hackdir=/usr/X11R6/bin/xscreensaver in the "configure" part of the ebuild but it still got installed into /usr/lib/xscreensaver.

I looks like the installroutine overrides the prefix given to configure. So how am I able to change where files do get installed if --prefix is ignored ?
