Well, if no one else is gonna start it... we are still doing this right? :D It's midnight in my neck of the woods and is thus July 1.

Anyway, I didn't do anything special for this months thread... yet. I went back to my fluxbox setup about 2 weeks ago and just seem to prefer it. I still love my kde apps tho. Using idesk for the icons and torsmo for the readout and fbpager for a cool looking pager. I don't remember where I got that wallpaper... probably kde-look.org

This thread should be a sticky every month so you can find it more easily.

Your proc is idling at 68C? I didn't get nearly that high in my SN85G4 (Shuttle A64 case)... am I reading it wrong or are P4's that hot?

The look didn't change much. Cleaned up desktop, and installed StreamTuner - best ShoutCast browser ever it can browse, listen, and rip with streamripper.. nice look too. Got a new wallpaper - I love digital and abstract wallpapers.

July '05 - Clean
July '05 - Busy

Gotta love my custom Globe/Sound icon for StreamTuner :P
Had to transform the screenshot png -> jpg cause ImageShack wouldn't take the high quality 1.3mb clean, however the busy was only 400kb.. I guess that wallpaper eats a lot of pixels :D

Updates highly possible in near future.

Sorry for that unorganized and pointless post :(. All i was saying is that it would look nicer if you blurred the names instead of painting over them.

That's my cpu, and yeah, it was. My a/c broke about a week ago and I can't leave it on while I go to work cuz it'll freeze up. So, the house hadn't cooled off yet when I took that screenshot. So yeah, the cpu was a little warm. I been worried about it. I was thinking of turning the computer off when I leave for work in fact.

It's an amd barton and usually idles in the low 50's.

Well to me it looks professional. That is one of the best looking KDE desktops ever. I hate when people make the panels tiny and transparents and put a bunch of stuff on the desktop. Nice job!

I was just wondering what was the significance of that wallpaper. Most are obvious in their blatant sexuality while others are computer or linux related, and many are just abstact and pretty. I was scratching my head over yours. I can't place the actress or the movie.

What's the answer?

It's from an Australian TV-soap from the 80s about a women's prison (YEAH!). Seeing how it has this cult status I thought that maybe there's a fan among you nerds out there who would recognize it :P The woman is one of my favourite characters, the bad ass Reb Kean - in this particular scene high on PCP

Wait a minute ... that's Lyn Scully in Neighbours! But not actually in Neighbours, as mentioned by Mandolin. I believe her real name is (quickly Googles for Lyn Scully) Janet Andrewartha.

Ah, good ol' Australian soaps. We Brits thrive on them! 8O :D

What's wrong with small panels configured to for the the least amount of distraction of a nice ocean background? Along with some informational readouts so you know exactly what your system is doing at a glance of the desktop. Not that there is anything wrong with the standard default.
