do u need to add this line: /dev/hda2 /boot /ext2 noauto,noatime 1 1
or is not necessary? for x86 u need to specify the boot. if you do need to specify, then what type? thanks in advance

I don't know much (just installed yesterday) but I deleted that line from fstab and it works fine. You just need to specify the boot partition in /etc/yaboot.conf.

you don't need that line for a bootstrap partition
