In stalling gentoo on a ULRTA1 CREATOR
Installing from stage3
emerge synce ok
USE="ultra1" emerge sparc-sources
downloading sources ok, but when it copies the source to /usr/src/ it spits out:
tar: linux-2.4.(29 and 30)/drivers/net/pcmcia/ositech.h: Cannot open: No such file or directory
This is repeated for each file and direcory is tries to copy/create..
I tried to emerge silo too, worked like a charm..
I'm really stuck here.
I have tried to create folders and files on the filesystem without any problems.
Anyone? _________________ -Emil

Thanks for the quick reply ;)
emerge does this automatically and reported a ;-)
But I md5summed /usr/porage/linuc-2.4.30.tar.bz2 and it retuned the same number listed in
/usr/portage/sys-kernel/sparc-sources/files/digest-sparc-sources-2.4.30
The file seems OK. Have anyone tried to emerge this lately?
Could it be that the package on the gentoo mirrors is broken? _________________ -Emil |

Last time I got a bizarre "no such file or directory" error like that, it was because I had run out of disk space.
Did you make /usr big enough? |

I had that exact same issue when I ran out of disk space as well.
