I'm trying to update world my system, but I can't emerge portage because tar gives:

tar xjf /usr/portage/distfiles/portage-2.0.46-r12.tar.bz2
tar: Unexpected EOF in archive
tar: Unexpected EOF in archive
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now

Thinking I may just have gotten a bad download, I've rm'd it and re-downloaded it without success. Any other places to get files besides ibiblio? No other mirrors I've found carry the distfiles.
