Why should I install that outdated gtk+-1.4, glib-1.2 and so on? :x
Of course, in /etc/make.conf I have in USE variable "gtk2 -gtk".
Any advices?

I have seen this happen too. The only reason I can come up with is that the last rsync server you connected to was outdated. After I emerge rsync a few times, it usually goes away.

I wrote in USE variable "-perl -gnome", it works.
But I had to emerge -i two apps: gnome-themes, mjpegtools.
It's not good.
Any suggestions?

Why does mjpegtools depend on gtk+-1.2? How can I solve this problem (use it with gtk+-2.2)?

Good because it doesn't matter.

Looking at the mjpegtools ebuild has this:

Code:
RDEPEND="media-libs/jpeg
        media-libs/libpng
        =x11-libs/gtk+-1.2*
        X? ( x11-base/xfree )
        sdl? ( media-libs/libsdl )
        media-libs/libdv
        arts? ( kde-base/arts )"

Note the "=x11-lib/gtk+-1.2*". That means only gtk+-1.2 branch.[/code]

Yes, I saw it. But how can another package (from GNOME2) emerge mjpegtools with obsolete dependancy?

It would have to have gtk+ 1.2 installed. I'm pretty sure there is no way around it.

Possible way is emerge -i media-video/mjpegtools-1.6.0-r7 as I posted earlier. But why not to exclude gtk+-1.2-based apps. from gtk+-2.x?
