im running Portage 2.0.46-r12 with ~x86, for the last couple days things i unmerge aren't getting removed from world file and I have to remove them myself. Like just now i unmerged mlterm, well low and behold look what emerge world gives me:
Code:
( root - ~ ) emerge world
Calculating world dependencies
*** Package in world file is not installed: x11-terms/mlterm
 ...done!

and I have to go in and take it out myself.

Not life threatening, but very annoying.

Yes, I have been experincing the very same problems myself too.
Also, portage seems to want to remerge the same packages over and over again, such as: gtk+, glib, cdrtools...

I hope this will be fixed soon!

Alex.

yes I think it's a bug in r12, gonna move back to r9,

I see it's reported in bugs.gentoo.org: https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=15610

edit: ok, I've downgraded to 2.0.46-r9 and portage sees more updates to be done, for example: gst-plugins, which was noted "unstable for some vague reason (there was no ~x86 nor an entry in package.mask)

so I recommend you to downgrade portage (not r11 fought that one was buggy either (never used it, so don't know for sure)) till it's fixed
