All
When installing kdeadmin, it fails, claiming it can't find libcrack.
Code: |
/usr/lib/gcc-lib/i686-pc-linux-gnu/3.2.1/../../../../i686-pc-linux-gnu/bin/ld: cannot find -lcrack
|
Now, I've installed cracklib,
Code: |
golem root # locate crack | grep "/lib"
/lib/security/pam_cracklib.so
|
But this clearly isn't what I need. Is this a USE var issue, where the wrong lib is being built? I'm quite curious.
BTW I did search! But no help. |

No sure what the problem is, but I can tell you that I have /usr/lib/libcrack.so, and it's installed by sys-libs/cracklib. |

It turns out you don't get a /usr/lib/libcrack unless you build cracklib with -pam in your USE.
So... OK. Anyway, kdeadmin won't build without libcrack. |
