|
|
Code: | grep ppc app-xemacs/*/*.ebuild
app-xemacs/ada/ada-1.11.ebuild:KEYWORDS="x86 -ppc alpha sparc"
... |
ALL packages in app-xemacs category has -ppc keyword. At the same time, all those packages are successfully installed through xemacs-sumo on the same ppc platform and works without problems.
What was the reason to punish elisp packages, by elisp nature very cross-platform ones? And what make alpha and sparc so special comparing to ppc? |

By the way, after:
Code: | ACCEPT_KEYWORDS=x86 emerge app-editors/xemacs/xemacs-21.4.12.ebuild |
on my PPC (!) everthing (including many required elisp packages from app-xemacs) was build and now new xemacs works perfectly fine.
So, it's still not clear, why PPC has been masked in elisp packages? All PPC bug messages I found in bugzilla are related to binary libraries or sloppy ebuilds. But what's wrong with elisp? |
