Hey got a unique one here.
Does anyone know of a way to change the way in which the kernel or scsi subsystem see the Cylinder Head Sectors of a drive? I have a Scsi Floppy drive and linux sees it as a 32 heads 64 sectors and 1 cylinder, but floppies are 2 heads 18 sectors and 80 cylinders. Also the devfs seems to create the 4 primary partions for the floppy driver as if it is a harddrive, but heres the weird thing, the scsi subsystem knows its a removable media. The SCSI controller is a Adaptec 3940AUW and the drive is a Insite I325VM.
Do i need to change the scsi controller settings? or a different controller?
I've tried sfdisk and fdisk and no luck, what about a hook in the scsi subsystem and ideas? |
