|

I am attempting to install Gentoo on my AMD Athlon 64 system and am running into the error in the subject. It's when I try to chroot into the newly created system-- Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong here? I'm suspecting I got the wrong Install CD image-- when I try to run the executable, it complains:
-/bin/bash: /mnt/gentoo/bin/bash: cannot execute binary file
I've tried a stage one install and stage two install, and no luck either way. I have a feeling I'm gonna feel stupid once I find out what I missed.
Any useful help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Yes, make sure that you're not mixing 32 and 64 -bit livecds and stage files ... _________________ No-one's more important than the earthworm. |
