Portage looking for wrong files?

It seems like just about everything I try to install, Portage tries to download a version that doesn't exist on ibiblio or the other mirrors. Like to update to Gnome 2.2, I need GTK+-2.2.0, however portage is looking for 2.2.1 which doesn't appear to even exist on Gnome's servers. Nano looks for 1.1.99_pre2, and I only see 1.1.99_pre1 on the servers. This is happening with just about everything I try to install now, so any help would be much appreciated, I really want to install Gnome 2.2. This all started last night when I updated portage and updated all config files using etc-update.

*edit, woops. Guess the mirrors hadn't recieved the updates yet. Portage is finding everything fine now.
