I've scoured the forums to find a similar problem to no avail. I've been, piece by piece, emerging Gnome 2.2, although I've come to a halt when a few packages report this:

Quote:
Calculating dependencies ...done!
>>> emerge (1 of 1) gnome-base/eel-2.2.0.2 to /
>>> Unpacking source...
>>> Source unpacked.
find: /var/tmp/portage/eel-2.2.0.2/work/eel-2.2.0.2: No such file or directory
/usr/sbin/ebuild.sh: line 203: cd: /var/tmp/portage/eel-2.2.0.2/work/eel-2.2.0.2: No such file or directory

!!! ERROR: gnome-base/eel-2.2.0.2 failed.
!!! Function econf, Line 310, Exitcode 1
!!! no configure script found

or...

Quote:
Calculating dependencies ...done!
>>> emerge (1 of 1) gnome-base/libgnomeui-2.2.0.1 to /
>>> Unpacking source...
>>> Source unpacked.
find: /var/tmp/portage/libgnomeui-2.2.0.1/work/libgnomeui-2.2.0.1: No such file or directory
/usr/sbin/ebuild.sh: line 203: cd: /var/tmp/portage/libgnomeui-2.2.0.1/work/libgnomeui-2.2.0.1: No such file or directory

!!! ERROR: gnome-base/libgnomeui-2.2.0.1 failed.
!!! Function econf, Line 310, Exitcode 1
!!! no configure script found

After this, I am at a loss. BTW, Gnome 2.2 is unmasked and I am running unstable. I have emerge rsynced several times, removed the gnome-base directory and emerge rsycned (fixed my digest problem), but still recieve this message. There are a few more packages as well, add bonobo-activation to the list.

Well, I thought I would make another attempt with the official release of Gnome2.2. Regardless, I recieve the same error on the same ebuilds, now including some such as libgnome and libgnomeui.
