Just finnished installing 1.4-rc2 now, but it didnt go quite as smoothly as 1.2. I'm having trouble getting my 3com PCMCIA working. After booting, I can
Code: |
modproble pcmcia_core |
but
will not work. (standard blabla message)
I've read the installguide which implies that I should emerge pcmcia-cs if i want PCMCIA to work on the fist boot. Reading the dokumentation for pcmcia-cs I am told that I not should compile support for PCMCIA into the kernel.
Trying
Code: | /etc/init.d/pcmcia start |
fail either way.
Can someone please give me bit more detailed description of what I am to do? |

Hi,
I have a Dell Inspiron 4100 and a Cisco 350 Wireless network card. I found this guide very helpful.
I hope It helps you.
PS: This is a very frequent topic, maybe an in-depth search in the forum can help you If you don't find your answers where I pointed you. |
