ID3 Tags?

(Bear with me, I'm learning Chinese, so I want to practice asking my question in Chinese.. please correct me if you have the time :oops:

)

你好大家。我有一些MP3s。這些MP3s没有ID3 tags。所以，我要寫ID3 tags。

但是，我要寫這些ID3 tags在中文。

有没有software會寫在中文？

(Hello everyone. I have some MP3s. These MP3s don't have ID3 tags. Therefore, I must write ID3 tags.
But, I want to write the ID3 tags in Chinese.
Is there software that can write in Chinese?)

I've tried easytag and tagtool. Neither of these seem to work properly...

One major thing is that I want an editor that will give me the option of using either unicode or other encodings such as GB. The reason is that my MP3 player will not display unicode ID3 tags properly.

I recommend changing your locale to zh_CN*（as zh_CN.GBK、18030、UTF－8）,add "cjk,nls" to your USE line in the /etc/make.conf,and then emerge the tag tool again.
Just try it ,and it won't take bad effect to the English display.
建议将locale改成zh_CN＊（GBK、18030、UTF－8一般都可以），并且在 /etc/make.conf的USE里加入"cjk,nls"，然后重新emerge tag工具试试。修改locale不会对英文显示造成影响。

不建议你使用 GBK 编码，还是用 UTF-8 吧

使用UTF-8 的话，用 amarok 播放和修改应该没有问题

It seems that choosing zh_CN.UTF-8 is better than GBK to display "unasia" language indeed ……
用zh_CN.UTF-8在显示非亚洲语言方面似乎确实更好一些……

utf-8 是 unicode 的一种表示方法，你的 mp3 player 如果不支持 unicode 的话，还是有可能支持 utf-8 的

不过，你确信你的 mp3 player 上有中文字体吗？

so it is the problem of mp3 hardware-player……if your player can't support Chinese,there is no idea to make it……maybe upgrading firmware is the only way to try……
原来是mp3随身听的问题……如果是硬件播放器本身不支持，那就没什么办法了，也许只有升级固件试试……

The mp3 player doesn't support unicode by the firmware or hardware interface……It's delicacy……the only way is to change to use gb2312 or gbk instead of unicode.you can send a email to the company to ask them to release a new firmware that could support unicode Chinese display if possible.
这种MP3播放器从硬件或者固件上不支持unicode显示……这个问题比较棘手……唯一能做的就是先改用GB2312或者GBK编码的中文ID3，并且你可以写封电子邮件到生产公司，要求他们放出一个支持unicode中文显示的升级固件——如果可能的话。

Sony no longer supports their Clie line, so there will not be a newer operating system version. Also, it is PalmOS 5, so it may be deeper than that... (PalmSource has already been developing PalmOS 6, so I doubt that they will do any major changes to PalmOS 5)
