I have an asus a7v266-e, and I'm wondering if there is a way to monitor cpu and motherboard temps from Linux. In windows, asus has their own program for this. I'd like GKrellm to be able to monitor my cpu temp. |

Try lm_sensors. Just emerge it. Then you can emerge gkrellm-sensors to keep an eye on 'em.

Great, thanks a lot . I've got lm_sensors working fine now. Now, unfortunately when I go to gkrellm config and click on the sensors tab, it crashes gkrellm!
Code: |
(gkrellm2:3417): Gtk-CRITICAL **: file gtkaccellabel.c: line 213 (gtk_accel_label_new): assertion `string != NULL' failed
(gkrellm2:3417): Gtk-CRITICAL **: file gtkmisc.c: line 210 (gtk_misc_set_alignment): assertion `GTK_IS_MISC (misc)' failed
(gkrellm2:3417): Gtk-CRITICAL **: file gtkcontainer.c: line 947 (gtk_container_add): assertion `GTK_IS_WIDGET (widget)' failed
(gkrellm2:3417): Gtk-CRITICAL **: file gtkaccellabel.c: line 399 (gtk_accel_label_set_accel_widget): assertion `GTK_IS_ACCEL_LABEL (accel_label)' failed
[1]+ Segmentation fault gkrellm2

[edit]I guess rm -rf .gkrellm2 fixed this probelm so far[/edit] |
