|
|
i have beryl working (and have for some time). wanted to try compiz. emerged it, but when i try to start it using the beryl manager (or from the command line with compiz --replace) i get the error
Code: |
libGL warning: 3D driver claims to not support visual 0x5b
compiz: GLX_EXT_texture_from_pixmap is not supported by direct rendering context, trying indirect rendering context instead
compiz: GLX_EXT_texture_from_pixmap is missing
compiz: Failed to manage screen: 0
compiz: No manageable screens found on display :0.0
|
and a few seconds later beryl reloads. |

Try starting compiz with the provided '/usr/bin/compiz-start' script. |

That's because of a bug in gtk-window-decorator; --replace doesn't work.
Try killing beryl's decorator before using compiz-start. You could also modify the script to do this. |
