rsync problem on install

i havent seen this problem in any post. This is after changing the line in make.conf to use the correct rsync servers etc...

I can receive the 'file' right. But when it starts to dl the directories i get this error everytime.

apps.....
apps.....
apps.....

Rsync Error : errors with program diagnostics (code 13) at log.c (279)

it never finishes the rsync but it always starts and then bombs.

any ideas????

System THat im attempting to install this on:
dual ppro 200
384megs edo
3com 3c905
promise ata 100 non raid
orange usb 2.0 card
s3 virge 4meg
plextor 8x cdrom

What version of rsync are you using? If it's older than 1.9, you should upgrade to the latest version of rsync.

im using whatever is on the 1.1a install disks.

*edit* ok i tried it again with the 1.2 stage 1 build. I get this same error with this new error.

Rsync Error : Received SIGUSR1 or SIGINIT (code 20) at main.c (784)

any ideas?
